In June 1970, the first ever conference officer was appointed at the University of York to deal with the increasing demand for meeting and event facilities on campus. Four decades, 73 members of staff, over 12,000 events, and more than 300,000 enquiries later, York Conferences are delighted to celebrate their Ruby anniversary by offering every 4th residential delegate place free of charge for all new events confirmed before 31 January 2010 and held with us before 31 July 2010.
